Announcements Do you need to clear your multiple or single subject credential? As we prepare for the 09-10 school year, we are gathering information on those teachers who need to enroll in the BTSA Induction Program for 2009-10. Those eligible will be in a teaching position in CVUSD this school year and possess either a multiple or single subject credential. We offer induction to teachers who need to start either year one or year two of the program.
Due to changes that have occurred around the district, it will be tremendously helpful if you will email Michelle Harold with your name, credential type, school site, grade level or subject, year in BTSA, email and phone contact information as soon as possible. We'd like to include you as we disseminate information about orientation meetings! FACT STANDARDS END-OF-YEAR CHECKPlease be sure to turn in copies of FACT A5 (Orientation checklist), A7.2 (Conversation Guides for Equity and ELL), B4 (Post-observation Reflection), C1 (IIP) COLLECTED TWICE DURING PROCESS (after cells 1-4 are complete and after cells 5-10 are complete), and D2 (Reflective Summary of Teaching Practice) for our records. This will show evidence of your progress throughout the year in FACT.
Options for 1-3 year credential extensionsPlease see the Participating Teachers or Support Providers file folders below for a document from the CTC expaining in detail the options for 1-3 year extensions to the preliminary credential. This will be especially useful to those teachers who cannot clear their credentials in five years due to lack of employment in a teaching position. Not to be used until the teacher has employment and needs the additional time to complete the induction requirements.
Do you have a district email account? It is important that you set-up and use regularly a district email account. We often email updates and reminders to our participants!
To do so, have your site administrator send an authorization form to the Help Desk. That will get the process started! FACT GENERAL TIMELINEYear One:
